Spanish Vocabulary for a Job Interview

Here are some phrases and vocabulary you might find helpful when preparing for a job interview in Spanish:

Introduction:

  • "Buenos días/tardes, mi nombre es [Tu Nombre]. Estoy encantado/a de estar aquí para la entrevista." (Good morning/afternoon, my name is [Your Name]. I am delighted to be here for the interview.)

Self-Introduction:

  • "Permítame presentarme. Soy [Tu Nombre], y me postulé para el puesto de [Nombre del Puesto]." (Allow me to introduce myself. I am [Your Name], and I applied for the [Position Name] position.)

Talking About Your Experience:

  • "Tengo experiencia en [Área relevante] y he trabajado en [Empresas anteriores] como [Tu rol] durante [Duración]." (I have experience in [Relevant Area] and have worked at [Previous Companies] as a [Your role] for [Duration].)

Skills and Strengths:

  • "Una de mis fortalezas es mi habilidad para [Habilidad relevante] y mi capacidad para [Otra habilidad]." (One of my strengths is my ability to [Relevant Skill], and my capacity to [Another Skill].)

Why You're Interested:

Questions for the Interviewer:

  • "¿Cuál es la cultura de trabajo en esta empresa?" (What is the work culture like in this company?)

  • "¿Cómo se espera que contribuya al éxito de su equipo?" (How do you expect me to contribute to the success of your team?)

  • "¿Cuáles son los próximos pasos en el proceso de selección?" (What are the next steps in the selection process?)

Closing the Interview:

  • "Agradezco mucho su tiempo y la oportunidad de ser considerado/a para este puesto." (I greatly appreciate your time and the opportunity to be considered for this position.)

  • "Espero tener la oportunidad de trabajar juntos en el futuro." (I hope to have the opportunity to work together in the future.)

Thanking the Interviewer:

  • "Gracias nuevamente por la entrevista. Espero tener noticias suyas pronto." (Thank you again for the interview. I look forward to hearing from you soon.)
